WHAT CHILDREN PRACTISE
Linked bar models, changing-whole fractions, structured sums, remainder clues, digit puzzles, restricted counting, patterns, area and perimeter changes, hidden towers, route counting, invariants and optimisation.
IS LEVEL 2 A GOOD FIT?
Whole-number arithmetic, exact division, simple fractions, multiplication facts, rectangle area and perimeter. Introduce unfamiliar prerequisites before the related lesson. Level 2 deepens the reasoning rather than increasing every number. The first two questions in each lesson connect prior learning; questions 3–6 develop reasoning; questions 7–8 are optional contest-style challenges. Three mixed missions ask children to choose a method without a strategy label. The preview images show optional challenges, not the starting difficulty.
HOW TO USE
Read the short lesson and worked example, try a few problems, then discuss the method before checking the solution. Move at the child's pace; skip optional challenges until ready. Print selected pages at actual size (100%), or read on a tablet. No timed drill requirement.
