WHAT CHILDREN PRACTISE
Double counting, common divisors, parity and colouring, invariants, systematic counting, digit puzzles, linked triangle areas, exposed cube faces, logic and guaranteed strategies. Children learn to give an example AND prove a limit, check every possible reply, or explain why something cannot happen.
IS LEVEL 3 A GOOD FIT?
Whole-number arithmetic, multiplication and exact division, factors, simple fractions, rectangle area and perimeter. Triangle area and other unfamiliar tools should be introduced with the lesson before tackling the challenges. Level 3 prioritises deeper explanations, not speed or simply larger numbers. Each lesson moves from an opening problem through reasoning to linking ideas and an optional summit. The fourth problem in each mixed mission is also optional. The compact previews show later-stage challenges; the book teaches the tools first.
HOW TO USE
Read the lesson and worked example, try a few problems, then discuss the reasoning before checking the solution. Use the small hint first if stuck. Take breaks and revisit optional summits when ready. Print selected pages at actual size (100%), or read on a tablet. The guide helps a parent or tutor plan the pace.
